Gain confidence in your role as a caregiver...
Meet Miss Corrie, an experienced Kindermusik educator
I have been a trained and licensed Kindermusik educator since 2012 at my studio in Beamsville, Ontario and in various programs across Niagara. I come from a musical family and like many of my Kindermusik students, my mother says I was singing before I could talk! I grew up taking piano lessons and later sang in the Kitchener-Waterloo Philharmonic Choir. Music remained an important part of my life while I opened a day care for five years, and I was delighted when I eventually discovered Kindermusik – a natural fit for my passions of music and family! It has been a joy passing on my love of music to a new generation, while also supporting parents in their role as their child's first and best teacher. As a mother myself, I know how important it is to see the uniqueness in each child, and to celebrate those little moments of discovery along their journey of growth. We sing, dance, laugh, play instruments and read stories, following Kindermusik curriculum and the latest research on how children learn best. I work to provide your child with an early education foundation, and to create special time for you and your child to cherish.
Prepare your child for future learning environments...
With the benefits of Kindermusik:
Preparing children for traditional music lessons through rhythm patterns, playing instruments, singing and even reading and writing music!
Cultivating healthy social interaction with peers and adults through sharing, turn-taking, cooperation, paying attention and active listen.
Developing early literacy and language through active music-making and activities that emphasize steady beat, rhythm, and pitch.
Building and expanding neural pathways through music! Increasing ability for abstract reasoning, spatial and temporal reasoning and self-control.
Moving around the room with the music and practicing fine and gross motor skills as we play developmentally appropriate instruments and stay active.
Benefits of Kindermusik
For Your Child
As a trained and licensed Kindermusik educator, I understand the importance of providing children with an early educational foundation. It’s one reason why I choose to teach Kindermusik. Based on current research and developmentally appropriate methodologies, the Kindermusik curricula uses music as the vehicle for learning during the first seven years of a child’s life, however, the benefits of music extend well beyond those early years.
Childhood development experts, researchers and scientists agree that learning through music can set a child up for
success in school and in life. The benefits of music for children include music skills, social-emotional skills, early literacy and language development, cognitive skills and physical skills.
Building a special bond with your child...
Through its research-based curriculum, Kindermusik is dedicated to providing the best possible music education programs to children. Kindermusik’s engaging, developmentally appropriate music classes set the stage for optimal, multi-sensory learning. Each lesson is designed to boost school readiness, nurture multiple areas of a child’s development, and tap into a variety of individual learning styles.
The benefits of music on children’s growth, development, confidence, family engagement, and school-readiness skills continue to gain the interest of researchers, but this only tells part of the story!
The rest of the story?
It’s the one you will write with your child as you see them engaging with the music. I love that there is a real purpose behind each and every movement, song and rhyme. As a parent, I too, have learned a lot about music, baby development and how to sign to my daughter
